NASA announced it expanded its contract with SpaceX beyond the lunar lander it was selected to develop for humanity’s first return to the Moon, as part of NASA’s Artemis III mission. SpaceX will now also support NASA’s Artemis IV mission, further cargo deliveries, and demonstrate its capability to dock with Gateway, a small space station in lunar orbit designed to support both lunar and deep-space exploration.
